Brothers doing srartham jointly

Swami,

One more issue in connection with the srartham posted in my earlier thread.

Two Sons are living separately but have been doing srartham jointly for the
past 10 years.

There was an opinion in this forum by swami stating that doing separately
after the 1st year is 'uchitham'

The bruhaspathi swami has opined that so long as Mother is alive, doing
jointly is not wrong

Could u please enlighten on this aspect.

It will satisfy the mother but it will not satisfy the shastram.
At least they should keep separate following things:
Annam, Paruppu, Payasam, Gee, Homa Agni, one separate pitru swamy.
