    Dear Sree

Can the daily pooja can be done in night /evening when it was not possible due to travelling, attending import functions etc?

While travelling can Sandhya vandhanam be done by manasekam (reciting silently without argyam)? IF no how to do sandhyavandhanam during travelling?

    request guidance

    Sri:
    1. Daily Pooja is not a commitment, but the way of life described for a Brahmin,
so, when you are not able to be in that way of life for a period then you can just
continue the way of life from when you are comfortable to stick on it again.
Then, every day is divided in to five for doing particular duties, so, it is not good
doing the pooja in night, unless otherwise it is exempted for a particular reason like Gokulashtami etc.

    2. Sandhya Vandhanam can be done virtually (it is different from 'maanaseekam'), I mean,
wherever you be at that time, close your eyes and send yourself virtually to your home,
let the virtual body to do everything including argyam as usual.

      Simple Puja

The scriptures declare that the early hours of the morning are considered especially auspicious. Therefore any sacred activity performed in the morning will bear greater fruit.

So there is no better auspicious time for puja than early morning. After a night’s rest, the mind is more peaceful than at any other time of the day. With a peaceful mind, thoughts of a Divine still the mind further and make it pure. This will let you transform the day’s chores into bhakti, into a festival, to keep it free of misfortunes; the morning puja is a must and boon.

A simple puja is a very basic one ;You need not do any elaborate daily Puja, (after the morning routine like Shower etc, just Wear a Madi Dhoti, light a lamp, light Scented bathi) and start with 3 times OM then

      Pray to Lord Vinayaka first,

      Lord Vinayaka Prayer

      1. Om Sumukhya Namaha
      2. Om Ekdanta ya Namaha
      3. Om Kapilaya Namaha
      4. Om Gajkarna ya Namaha
      5. Om Lambodar ya Namaha
      6. Om Vikat ya Namaha
      7. Om Vighna-Nashan ya Namaha
      8. Om Vinayak Ya Namaha
      9. Om Dhumraketu Ve Namaha
      10. Om Ganadhyaksha ya Namaha
      11. Om Bhalchandra ya Namaha
      12. Om Gajanan ya Namaha

and whichever deity you wish to pray, pray for a Minute or two, and then

      just recite Sarva Gayathri

      Om Bhuur-Bhuvah Svah
      Tat-Savitur-Varennyam |
      Bhargo Devasya Dhiimahi
      Dhiyo Yo Nah Pracodayaat ||

and offer a small prasadam like Kalkandu

      and offer Sastanga Namaskaram

This should not take more than 5-6 minutes in the morning..

      ,Hope this helps
