    If a 'dasaham' falls on 'amavasa' then what about 'vapanam' for gnathis?

    Namaskaaram..Pls clarify me on the following:-


    If a 'dasaham' falls on 'amavasa' then what about 'vapanam' for gnathis? Should it be done even on 'amavasa'? Or, vapanam advised one day prior, on 9th day?


    Your clarification most welcome pls.

    Sri:

    Brahma Sri Pattu Sastrigal,

    As they are in theetu, Amavasai will not be applicable for them
    so, they can undergo for vapanam on Amavasyai day.

    Though it is not in Shastram, if the 10th day falls on Friday

    Vapanam will be done on previous day (9th day) is in practice in Tanjore district.

    I am interested to read the procedures for various subject. It is nice to see, but I have to use my common sense also to find out the subject from this website and then understand.
