Restrictions to be observed before srardham

Dear mama

Adyen Dasan. I have a question about srardham.

My father�s srardham is during the month of Vaikasi. I would like to know about the restrictions to be strictly observed before the srardham such as avoid eating outside the house, avoid doing shavaram etc., How many days before one should start observing these things.
