Menstruation
Menstruation is part of the menstrual cycle, which helps a woman's body prepare for the possibility of pregnancy each month. There have been many myths and taboos associated with menstruation.
But actually, women during their menstrual period embody a functional vestige of Goddess Kali's pre-cosmic creative cycles. Because of this, menstruating women are vessels of abundant prana. Their chakras are loose and they become spiritually more receptive.
In Hinduism women are seen as religiously unclean because of their menstruation. Taking an opposite standpoint, one could say that women possess natural power. They are capable of nullifying sacred mantras long practiced by Hindu men and priests. Because of this, Brahmin priests had to keep women outside their sacred sanctuary. Men, with their superior position in society, must control women who possess the natural power and declare them unclean during the menstruation period.
In Mahabharata Draupati’s prayer during her menstruation period was accepted by Lord Sri.Krishna

The orthodox view a menstruating female becomes pure by bathing after the menstrual secretion has ceased should mean an acknowledgement of their difficult time and may be allow for their mood swings, also they have an enforced break from mundane chores.
Hindus consider every book of knowledge is a form of Devi Saraswathi and are we not placing them during Sri. Saraswathi Puja and worship them? During the period women touch/read these books given voluntarily by elders.
Even our work and work place is Divine, are we stopping women to go to office during the periods?
