Since maha bharani fallas on thrithiyai can mahalaya thrpanam be performed on that day. Since it was considered that mahalaya tharpanam can be performed on panchami or after?

Doing sakrun mahalayam (only on one day out of 16 days) is advised to do after panchami.

Adiyen thagappanar passed away on prathamai tithi. Adiyen's been performing Mahalaya tharpanam on prathamai tithi so far. is that correct or not? if not, what tithi should adiyen perform tharpanam (if performing only one day apart from amavasya day).

All those suggestions like after panchami are only for those who expects phalan out of doing karmas.
There's no wrong on doing on pratamai if it's done usually.
