    Aranya Kaanda - Sarga 15
In this Sarga, Rāma reaches Pancavaṭi. He asks Lakshmaṇa to find a good place and build an Āṡrama. Lakshmaṇa requests Rāma to pick the place, saying that he is not for making independent decisions on his own, as long as Rāma is alive.
Rāma then picks a nice place. Lakshmaṇa builds an amazingly beautiful Āṡrama, a thatched cottage. Rāma, extremely delighted seeing that Āṡrama, gives a loving embrace to Lakshmaṇa and says that he sees his father in Lakshmaṇa in the way he cares about him and understanding his mind.
    tataḥ pañcavaṭīṃ gatvā
    nānāvyālamṛgāyutām ।
    uvāca bhrātaraṃ rāmaḥ
    saumitriṃ dīptatējasam ॥
    Upon reaching Pancavaṭi,
which abounded in venomous snakes and deer,
    Rāma said to his brother
Sowmitri, of blazing radiance: The language of this Sarga is very simple and elegant.
Learning the ~30 Ṡlōkas of this Sarga by heart and analyzing the words, grammar and structure herein would be a good exercise for any student of Sanskrit.
These Ṡlōkas have narrative, descriptive as well as conversational Sanskrit.
Moreover, this Sarga deals with a pleasant and touching subject, and hence a joy to read.
    3.15.2 ஆகதா: ஸ்ம யதோத்திஷ்டம்

with a lake or pond nearby

This place is holy and sacred.
It abounds in deer and birds.
    We shall live here, Sowmitri,
along with this bird (Jaṭāyu). Rāma says the place is holy and sacred. One has to go to pristine forests and see with pristine eyes to feel what he says.
Modern tourism and commercial interests color our eyes; they make us think of forests only as a source of pleasure and as a source of wealth.
The more we are untouched by the modern commercial, material and consumption oriented culture, the more we can feel what Rāma felt; the holiness and sacredness automatically descend upon us.
