We plan to have upanayanam of my brother's son who is 11 years old now in this Vaikashi (Hevilambi year). As your general advice for Upanaya muhurthams உபநயனம் செய்ய போகும் தமிழ் மாதத்தில் இரண்டு பெளர்ணமியோ அல்லது இரண்டு அமாவாசையோ அல்லது மாதபிறப்பு இரண்டோ அல்லது மாத பிறப்பு இல்லாமலோ இருக்க கூடாது.

I just saw in Pampu panchagam, masa pirappu of Vaikashi occurs in Chittirai itself. (Sankramam occurs at 54 nazhikai of chittirai 31)

Can we fix a muhurtham in Vaikashi this year. We value your advice in this regards.

sir, It is impossible to get 100% good muhurtham day. you can do upanayam at 80% good muhurtham day. So you can do in vaikasi on 4-6-2017 mithuna laknam 7to 8-30 a.m. sunday hastham star dasami thithi . cukla paksham, thaara palam and chandra palam is there. panchakam. is good. no kasaram
