பேசும் திறமையற்ற, கண் பார்வையற்ற, காது கேளாத, புத்தி சுவாதீனமற்ற , அங்கஹீனர்களுக்கும்
உபநயனம் உண்டா?

எல்லா சாஸ்த்ர விஷயங்களையும் சொல்லிண்டிருந்தேன்.
இந்த கேள்விக்கு அப்படிச் சொன்னா சரியா இருக்காதுன்றதுனாலயும்,
இவ்வளவு விஷயத்தை டைப் பண்றது டைம் இல்லை இப்பவே மணி ரெண்டாயிடுத்து
இன்னும் மாத்யாஹ்நிகம் பண்ணலை, அடியேன் சாப்பிடாம ஆத்துல யாரும்
சாப்பிடாம ஒக்காண்டிருக்கா ..... சரி, கீழே உள்ள போட்டோ காப்பியை படிச்சு தெரிஞ்சுக்க வேண்டியது.

Namaskaram!

One's physical handicap may come in the way of external world and our response to external world. Upanayanam and Gayatri are meant for inner development and spiritual growth. In fact, the intensity of Karma which is yet to manifest in our life is reduced by regular Gayatri Japa, so it's even more crucial that they get Upanayanam done regardless of physical handicaps. 'AUM' is the only mantra that can be uttered without movement of tongue. AUM is the sound of creation (the whole world is a manifestation of nada). A speech handicapped person may do more Aum chanting.

There is a lot of misunderstanding in society that Upanayanam is viewed as a social custom and an additional expense burden for the family. Upanayanam is a preparation for spiritual life. One should keep it as a simple function within one's means but ensure it is done in a timely manner at a young age ideally before adolescent behavior patterns start manifesting in one's life!
