    Kishkindha Kaanda Sarga 26

    Kishkindha Kaanda - Sarga 26
In this Sarga, Hanuman seeks Rāma’s permission for Sugreeva’s consecration to the throne in Kishkindhā, and he invites Rāma to come to Kishkindhā. Rāma says that he would not enter any city or village for fourteen years in accordance with the command of his father.
Rāma tells Sugreeva to install Aṅgada as crown prince. He also tells Sugreeva that he should take all effort to kill Rāvaṇa once the monsoon season, which had just started, comes to an end.
Sugreeva goes back to Kishkindhā and his friends consecrate him on the throne in a regal and customary manner. Everyone hails him upon assuming office. Sugreeva then consecrates Aṅgada as the crown prince and all sympathizers of Aṅgada feel happy.
Everyone praises Rāma and Lakshmaṇa repeatedly. Sugreeva informs Rāma of the completion of consecration and having regained Rumā, enjoys the kingdom.

    Then the great ministers of
    the beasts of the branches
    stood near and around Sugreeva
who was burnt by grief and
    clad in wet clothes.
Vānaras, the monkeys are also referred to
as the beasts of the branches,
because they live on tree branches.
