    Kishkindha Kaanda - Sarga 37
    In this Sarga, Sugreeva asks Hanuman to send Vānaras everywhere, to all mountains, rivers, oceans, to summon all the Vānaras that live there to hasten up and come to Kishkindhā for advancing the cause of Rāma. He asks him to warn them that they will be punished with their life, if they do not show up within ten days. Hanuman, obeying his command, sends Vānaras of great valor in every direction.
    Thousands of thousands of crores of Vānaras from everywhere leave, following that command. Those who go to the Himālayas, see the place where a Yajña was performed in dedication of Mahēṡwara and bring the fruits, roots and herbs growing on those Yajña grounds, as gifts to Sugreeva. Sugreeva is happy with the progress.
    4.37.1 ஏவமுக்தஸ்து ஸுக்ரீவோ
    லக்ஷ்மணேந மஹாத்மநா ।
    ஹநூமந்தம் ஸ்திதம் பார்ஸ்வே
    வசநம் சேதமப்ரவீத் ॥
    ēvamuktastu sugrīvō
    lakṣmaṇēna mahātmanā ।
    hanūmantaṃ sthitaṃ pārṡvē
    vacanaṃ cēdamabravīt ॥
    Thus told by Mahātma Lakshmaṇa, Sugreeva
    said these words to Hanuman who was by his side:
    4.37.2-9 மஹேந்த்ரஹிமவத்விந்த்ய
    கைலாஸஸிகரேஷு ச ।
    மந்தரே பாண்டுஸிகரே
    பஞ்சஸைலேஷு யே ஸ்திதா: ।
    தருணாதித்யவர்ணேஷு
    ப்ராஜமாநேஷு நித்யஸ: ।
    பர்வதேஷு ஸமுத்ராந்தே
    பஸ்சிமாயாம் து யே திஸி ।
    ஆதித்யபவநே சைவ
    கிரௌ ஸந்த்யாப்ரஸந்நிபே ।
    பத்மாதாலவநம் பீமா:
    ஸம்ஸ்ரிதா ஹரிபுங்கவா: ।
    அஞ்ஜநாம்புதஸங்காஸா:
    குஞ்ஜரப்ரதிமௌஜஸ: ।
    அஞ்ஜநே பர்வதே சைவ
    யே வஸந்தி ப்லவங்கமா: ।
    மஹாஸைல குஹாவாஸா
    வாநரா: கநகப்ரபா: ।
    மேருபார்ஸ்வகதாஸ்சைவ
    யே ச தூம்ரகிரிம் ஸ்ரிதா: ।
    தருணாதித்யவர்ணாஸ்ச
    பர்வதே யே மஹாருணே ।
    பிபந்தோ மதுமைரேயம்
    பீமவேகா: ப்லவங்கமா: ।
    வநேஷு ச ஸுரம்யேஷு
    ஸுகந்திஷு மஹத்ஸு ச ।
    தாபஸாஸ்ரமரம்யேஷு
    வநாந்தேஷு ஸமந்தத: ।
    தாம்ஸ்தாம்ஸ்த்வமாநய க்ஷிப்ரம்
    ப்ருதிவ்யாம் ஸர்வவாநராந் ।
    ஸாமதாநாதிபி: கல்பை:
    வாநரைர்வேகவத்தரை: ॥
    mahēndrahimavadvindhya
    kailāsaṡikharēṣu ca ।
    mandarē pāṇḍuṡikharē
    pañcaṡailēṣu yē sthitāḥ ।
    taruṇādityavarṇēṣu
    bhrājamānēṣu nityaṡaḥ ।
    parvatēṣu samudrāntē
    paṡcimāyāṃ tu yē diṡi ।
    ādityabhavanē caiva
    girau sandhyābhrasannibhē ।
    padmātālavanaṃ bhīmāḥ
    saṃṡritā haripuṅgavāḥ ।
    añjanāmbudasaṅkāṡāḥ
    kuñjarapratimaujasaḥ ।
    añjanē parvatē caiva
    yē vasanti plavaṅgamāḥ ।
    mahāṡaila guhāvāsā
    vānarāḥ kanakaprabhāḥ ।
    mērupārṡvagatāṡcaiva
    yē ca dhūmragiriṃ ṡritāḥ ।
    taruṇādityavarṇāṡca
    parvatē yē mahāruṇē ।
    pibantō madhumairēyam
    bhīmavēgāḥ plavaṅgamāḥ ।
    vanēṣu ca suramyēṣu
    sugandhiṣu mahatsu ca ।
    tāpasāṡramaramyēṣu
    vanāntēṣu samantataḥ ।
    tāṃstāṃstvamānaya kṣipram
    pṛthivyāṃ sarvavānarān ।
    sāmadānādibhiḥ kalpaiḥ
    vānarairvēgavattaraiḥ ॥
    Send Vānaras of tremendous speed
    to every place and bring the Vānaras who are there,
    motivating them with inducements,
    appealing to their good senses and
    using other such techniques;
    those who live on the peaks of the five mountains
    Mahēndra, Himālaya, Vindhya, Kailāsa,
    and the white-crested Mandara;
    those who live on the mountains
    in the West beyond the ocean
    that are always splendid, shining like the rising sun,
    and on the mountain Āditya Bhavana
    that resembles an evening cloud;
    and the fierce and best of the Vānaras
    who live in the Vana called Padmācala;
    and the Vānaras who are as strong as elephants
    resembling collyrium-black clouds
    who live on the Anjana mountain,
    and those Vānaras that shine like gold
    who live in the caves of Mahāṡaila mountain,
    on the flanks of the Mēru and on the Smoky Mountain;
    and those Vānaras of terrific speed
    who are of the color of the morning sun,
    that live on the Mahāruṇa mountain
    who drink liquor made from dates;
    and those who live in the large,
    enchanting and fragrant Vanas and in
    the beautiful Āṡramas of Tapasvis
    in the interiors of the Vanas.
    4.37.10 ப்ரேஷிதா: ப்ரதமம் யே ச
    மயாஜ்ஞாதா மஹாஜவா: ।
    த்வரணார்தம் து பூயஸ்த்வம்
    ஸம்ப்ரேஷய ஹரீஸ்வராந் ॥
    prēṣitāḥ prathamaṃ yē ca
    mayājñātā mahājavāḥ ।
    tvaraṇārthaṃ tu bhūyastvam
    samprēṣaya harīṡvarān ॥
    Please send again more Vānara leaders
    to hasten up the huge numbers
    that were sent earlier by my orders.
    4.37.11 யே ப்ரஸக்தாஸ்ச காமேஷு
    தீர்கஸூத்ராஸ்ச வாநரா: ।
    இஹாநயஸ்வ தாந் ஸீக்ரம்
    ஸர்வாநேவ கபீஸ்வராந் ॥
    yē prasaktāṡca kāmēṣu
    dīrghasūtrāṡca vānarāḥ ।
    ihānayasva tān ṡīghram
    sarvānēva kapīṡvarān ॥
    Bring here quick all the leaders of Vānaras
    who might be still indulged in love sports
    or might simply be procrastinating.
    4.37.12 அஹோபிர்தஸபிர்யே ச
    நாகச்சந்தி மமாஜ்ஞயா ।
    ஹந்தவ்யாஸ்தே துராத்மாநோ
    ராஜஸாஸநதூஷகா: ॥
    ahōbhirdaṡabhiryē ca
    nāgacchanti mamājñayā ।
    hantavyāstē durātmānō
    rājaṡāsanadūṣakāḥ ॥
    The evil ones who do not reach here
    within ten days according to my orders
    shall be condemned to death for
    contempt of the king’s orders.
    4.37.13 ஸதாந்யத ஸஹஸ்ராணி
    கோட்யஸ்ச மம ஸாஸநாத் ।
    ப்ரயாந்து கபிஸிம்ஹாநாம்
    நிதிஸோ மம யே ஸ்திதா: ॥
    ṡatānyatha sahasrāṇi
    kōṭyaṡca mama ṡāsanāt ।
    prayāntu kapisiṃhānām
    nidiṡō mama yē sthitāḥ ॥
    May all the hundreds, thousands
    and crores of lions among Vānaras
    who are under my command start (right away)!
    4.37.14 மேகபர்வதஸங்காஸா:
    சாதயந்த இவாம்பரம் ।
    கோரரூபா: கபிஸ்ரேஷ்டா
    யாந்து மச்சாஸநாதித: ॥
    mēghaparvatasaṅkāṡāḥ
    chādayanta ivāmbaram ।
    ghōrarūpāḥ kapiṡrēṣṭhā
    yāntu macchāsanāditaḥ ॥
    May the best of the Vānaras of fierce forms
    that resemble clouds and mountains,
    come here clouding the sky, per my orders.
    4.37.15 தே கதிஜ்ஞா கதிம் கத்வா
    ப்ருதிவ்யாம் ஸர்வவாநரா: ।
    ஆநயந்து ஹரீந்ஸர்வாந்
    த்வரிதாஸ்ஸாஸநாந்மம ॥
    tē gatijñā gatiṃ gatvā
    pṛthivyāṃ sarvavānarāḥ ।
    ānayantu harīnsarvān
    tvaritāṡṡāsanānmama ॥
    May all those Vānaras who know the routes
    go expediently and bring every Vānara
    in the world quickly; this is my command!
    4.37.16 தஸ்ய வாநரராஜஸ்ய
    ஸ்ருத்வா வாயுஸுதோ வச: ।
    திக்ஷு ஸர்வாஸு விக்ராந்தாந்
    ப்ரேஷயாமாஸ வாநராந் ॥
    tasya vānararājasya
    ṡrutvā vāyusutō vacaḥ ।
    dikṣu sarvāsu vikrāntān
    prēṣayāmāsa vānarān ॥
    Upon hearing those words of the king of Vānaras,
    the son of Vāyu sent Vānaras of great valor in all directions.
    4.37.17 தே பதம் விஷ்ணுவிக்ராந்தம்
    பதத்ரிஜ்யோதிரத்வகா: ।
    ப்ரயாதா: ப்ரஹிதா ராஜ்ஞா
    ஹரயஸ்து க்ஷணேந வை ॥
    tē padaṃ viṣṇuvikrāntam
    patatrijyōtiradhvagāḥ ।
    prayātāḥ prahitā rājñā
    harayastu kṣaṇēna vai ॥
    In no time, the Vānaras thus sent by the king,
    took to the skies that were once occupied by Vishṇu,
    like birds and stars. ‘Occupied by Vishṇu refers to the instance of Vishṇu covering the sky with second foot in the Vāmana Avatāra.
    4.37.18 தே ஸமுத்ரேஷு கிரிஷு
    வநேஷு ச ஸரஸ்ஸு ச ।
    வாநரா வாநராந்ஸர்வாந்
    ராமஹேதோரசோதயந் ॥
    tē samudrēṣu giriṣu
    vanēṣu ca sarassu ca ।
    vānarā vānarānsarvān
    rāmahētōracōdayan ॥
    Those Vānaras urged the Vānaras of
    Vanas, mountains, lakes and oceans,
    to make all haste for Rāma’s cause.
    4.37.19 ம்ருத்யுகாலோபமஸ்யாஜ்ஞாம்
    ராஜராஜஸ்ய வாநரா: ।
    ஸுக்ரீவஸ்யாயயுஸ்ஸ்ருத்வா
    ஸுக்ரீவ பய ஸந்கிதா: ॥
    mṛtyukālōpamasyājñām
    rājarājasya vānarāḥ ।
    sugrīvasyāyayuṡṡrutvā
    sugrīva bhaya ṡankitāḥ ॥
    Hearing that command of Sugreeva,
    the king of kings of Vānaras,
    which was no less than a decree
    from the god of Death,
    the Vānaras came forthwith,
    in their extreme fear of Sugreeva.
