    4.50.88 b-23a தே நஷ்டஸம்ஜ்ஞாஸ்த்ருஷிதா:
    ஸம்ப்ராந்தாஸ்ஸலிலார்திந: ।
    பரிபேதுர்பிலே தஸ்மிந்
    கஞ்சித்காலமதந்த்ரிதா: ॥
    tē naṣṭasaṃjńāstṛṣitāḥ
    sambhrāntāssalilārthinaḥ ।
    paripēturbilē tasmin
    kańcitkālamatandritāḥ ॥
    With their senses becoming dull with thirst,
    and their mind confused as they craved for water,
    they went along in that cave for a while,
    ignoring their exhaustion.
    4.50.23b-24a தே க்ருஸா தீநவதநா:
    பரிஸ்ராந்தா: ப்லவங்கமா: ।
    ஆலோகம் தத்ருஸுர்வீரா
    நிராஸா ஜீவிதே யதா ॥
    tē kṛṡā dīnavadanāḥ
    pariṡrāntāḥ plavaṅgamāḥ ।
    ālōkaṃ dadṛṡurvīrā
    nirāṡā jīvitē yadā ॥
    Just as those Vānaras, emaciated, dejected
    and exhausted, gave up any hope of survival,
    those Veeras saw a brightly lit area.
    4.50.24b-25a ததஸ்தம் தேஸமாகம்ய
    ஸௌம்யா விதிமிரம் வநம் ।
    தத்ருஸு: காஞ்சநாந்வ்ருக்ஷாந்
    தீப்தவைஸ்வாநரப்ரபாந் ॥
    tatastaṃ dēṡamāgamya
    saumyā vitimiraṃ vanam ।
    dadṛṡuḥ kāńcanānvṛkṣān
    dīptavaiṡvānaraprabhān ॥
    Then, those gentle ones, came to an area
    where they found a Vana free from darkness
    with golden trees that were blazing bright like fire.
    4.50.25b-26 ஸாலாம்ஸ்தாலாம்ஸ்தமாலாம்ஸ்ச
    புந்நாகாந்வஞ்ஜுலாந்தவாந் ।
    சம்பகாந் நாகவ்ருக்ஷாம்ஸ்ச
    கர்ணிகாராம்ஸ்ச புஷ்பிதாந் ।
    ஸ்தபகை: காஞ்சநைஸ்சித்ரை
    ரக்தை: கிஸலயைஸ்ததா ॥
    sālāṃstālāṃstamālāṃṡca
    punnāgānvańjulāndhavān ।
    campakān nāgavṛkṣāṃṡca
    karṇikārāṃṡca puṣpitān ।
    stabakaiḥ kāńcanaiṡcitrai
    raktaiḥ kisalayaistathā ॥
    There were Sāla, Tāla, Tamāla, Punnāga, Vańjula,
    Dhava, Campaka, Nāga and Karṇikāra trees in bloom,
    with bunches of flowers shining like gold
    and with their tender shoots shining red.
    4.50.27 ஆபீடைஸ்ச லதாபிஸ்ச
    ஹேமாபரணபூஷிதாந் ।
    தருணாதித்யஸங்காஸாந்
    வைடூர்யக்ருதவேதிகாந் ॥
    āpīḍaiṡca latābhiṡca
    hēmābharaṇabhūṣitān ।
    taruṇādityasaṅkāṡān
    vaiḍhūryakṛtavēdikān ॥
    Their tops were gorgeous, covered by creepers.
    They were glowing like the morning sun
    adorned with gold ornaments and
    with platforms around them studded with lazulite.
    4.50.28-29a விப்ராஜமாநாந்வபுஷா
    பாதபாம்ஸ்ச ஹிரண்மயாந் ।
    நீலவைடூர்யவர்ணாஸ்ச
    பத்மிநீ: பதகைர்வ்ருதா: ।
    மஹத்பி: காஞ்சநை: பத்மை:
    வ்ருதா பாலார்கஸந்நிபை: ॥
    vibhrājamānānvapuṣā
    pādapāṃṡca hiraṇmayān ।
    nīlavaiḍhūryavarṇāṡca
    padminīḥ patagairvṛtāḥ ।
    mahadbhiḥ kāńcanaiḥ padmaiḥ
    vṛtā bālārkasannibhaiḥ ॥
    There were trees, all gold, with dazzling trunks.
    There were lotus vines glowing like sapphire,
    gorgeous like the morning sun,
    with big, golden lotuses and
    birds hovering around them.
    4.50.29b-30a ஜாதரூபமயைர்மத்ஸ்யை:
    மஹத்பிஸ்சாத பஙகஜை: ।
    நலிநீஸ்தத்ர தத்ருஸு:
    ப்ரஸந்நஸலிலாயுதா: ॥
    jātarūpamayairmatsyaiḥ
    mahadbhiṡcātha paṅakajaiḥ ।
    nalinīstatra dadṛṡuḥ
    prasannasalilāyutāḥ ॥
    They saw lotus pools of pellucid water
    with huge lotuses and golden fish.
    4.50.30b-32a காஞ்சநாநி விமாநாநி
    ராஜதாநி ததைவ ச ।
    தபநீயகவாக்ஷாணி
    முக்தாஜாலாவ்ருதாநி ச ।
    ஹைமராஜதபௌமாநி
    வைதூர்யமணிமந்தி ச ।
    தத்ருஸுஸ்தத்ர ஹரயோ
    க்ருஹமுக்யாநி ஸர்வஸ: ॥
    kāńcanāni vimānāni
    rājatāni tathaiva ca ।
    tapanīyagavākṣāṇi
    muktājālāvṛtāni ca ।
    haimarājatabhaumāni
    vaidūryamaṇimanti ca ।
    dadṛṡustatra harayō
    gṛhamukhyāni sarvaṡaḥ ॥
    Those Vānaras saw everywhere
    towers of silver and gold
    with windows blazing bright
    overhung with lacework of pearls,
    and exquisite mansions of many stories
    made of gold and silver and
    adorned with lazulite and gems.
    4.50.32b-33a புஷ்பிதாந்பலிநோ வ்ருக்ஷாந்
    ப்ரவாலமணிஸந்நிபாந் ।
    காஞ்சநப்ரமராம்ஸ்சைவ
    மதூநி ச ஸமந்தத: ॥
    puṣpitānphalinō vṛkṣān
    pravālamaṇisannibhān ।
    kāńcanabhramarāṃṡcaiva
    madhūni ca samantataḥ ॥
    They saw everywhere trees that
    were in flower and fruit that
    shone like corals and gems,
    and golden bees and honey.
    4.50.33b-34 மணிகாஞ்சநசித்ராணி
    ஸயநாந்யாஸநாநி ச ।
    விவிதாநி விஸாலாநி
    தத்ருஸுஸ்தே ஸமந்தத: ।
    ஹைமராஜதகாம்ஸ்யாநாம்
    பாஜநாநாம் ச ஸம்ஞ்சயாந் ॥
    maṇikāńcanacitrāṇi
    ṡayanānyāsanāni ca ।
    vividhāni viṡālāni
    dadṛṡustē samantataḥ ।
    haimarājatakāṃsyānām
    bhājanānāṃ ca saṃńcayān ॥
    They saw a variety of big couches and beds
    decked with an assortment of gems and gold
    and a huge collection of
    gold, silver and bronze vessels.
    4.50.35 அகரூணாம் ச திவ்யாநாம்
    சந்தநாநாம் ச ஸஞ்சயாந் ।
    ஸுசீந்யப்யவஹார்யாணி
    மூலாநி ச பலாநி ச ॥
    agarūṇāṃ ca divyānām
    candanānāṃ ca sańcayān ।
    ṡucīnyabhyavahāryāṇi
    mūlāni ca phalāni ca ॥
    They also saw a collection of
    divine Agaru and sandal and
    mouth-watering and clean roots and fruits.
    4.50.36-37a மஹார்ஹாணி ச பாநாநி
    மதூநி ரஸவந்தி ச ।
    திவ்யாநாமம்பராணாம் ச
    மஹார்ஹாணாம் ச ஸஞ்சயாந் ।
    கம்பலாநாம் ச சித்ராணாம்
    அஜிநாநாம் ச ஸஞ்சயாந் ॥
    mahārhāṇi ca pānāni
    madhūni rasavanti ca ।
    divyānāmambarāṇāṃ ca
    mahārhāṇāṃ ca sańcayān ।
    kambalānāṃ ca citrāṇām
    ajinānāṃ ca sańcayān ॥
    They also saw drinks that were highly coveted,
    liquors of exquisite taste,
    collections of divine garments
    that only the noble deserve,
    lovely carpets and collections of deerskin.
    4.50.37b-38a தத்ர தத்ர ச விந்யஸ்தாந்
    தீப்தாந்வைஸ்வாநரப்ரபாந் ।
    தத்ருஸுர்வாநராஸ்ஸுப்ராந்
    ஜாதரூபஸ்ய ஸஞ்சயாந் ॥
    tatra tatra ca vinyastān
    dīptānvaiṡvānaraprabhān ।
    dadṛṡurvānarāṡṡubhrān
    jātarūpasya sańcayān ॥
    The Vānaras saw gold purified in fire,
    that blazed like fire, piled up everywhere.
    4.50.38b-39a தத்ர தத்ர விசிந்வந்தோ
    பிலே தத்ர மஹாப்ரபா: ।
    தத்ருஸுர்வாநராஸ்ஸூரா:
    ஸ்த்ரியம் காஞ்சிததூரத: ॥
    tatra tatra vicinvantō
    bilē tatra mahāprabhāḥ ।
    dadṛṡurvānarāṡṡūrāḥ
    striyaṃ kāńcidadūrataḥ ॥
    Searching everywhere in that cave,
    the valiant Vānaras of great radiance
    saw a woman not far from there.
    4.50.39b-40 தாம் ச தே தத்ருஸுஸ்தத்ர
    சீரக்ருஷ்ணாஜிநாம்பராம் ।
    தாபஸீம் நியதாஹாராம்
    ஜ்வலந்தீமிவ தேஜஸா ।
    விஸ்மிதா ஹரயஸ்தத்ர
    வ்யவதிஷ்டந்த ஸர்வஸ: ॥
    tāṃ ca tē dadṛṡustatra
    cīrakṛṣṇājināmbarām ।
    tāpasīṃ niyatāhārām
    jvalantīmiva tējasā ।
    vismitā harayastatra
    vyavatiṣṭhanta sarvaṡaḥ ॥
    The Vānaras beheld that Tapasvi
    who lived on limited food
    clad in tree bark and
    the skin of the black antelope,
    blazing like fire with her power of Tapa.
    The simply stood everywhere
    there taken by surprise.
    4.50.41 ததோ ஹநூமாந்கிரிஸந்நிகாஸ:
    க்ருதாஜ்ஞலிஸ்தாமபிவாத்ய வ்ருத்தாம் ।
    பப்ரச்ச கா த்வம் பவநம் பிலம் ச
    ரத்நாநி சேமாநி வதஸ்வ கஸ்ய ॥
    tatō hanūmāngirisannikāṡaḥ
    kṛtājńalistāmabhivādya vṛddhām ।
    papraccha kā tvaṃ bhavanaṃ bilaṃ ca
    ratnāni cēmāni vadasva kasya ॥
    Then Hanumān, imposing like a mountain,
    joined his palms in reverence
    and prostrated to that old woman and asked:
    ‘Who are you? Whose is this cave,
    this mansion and all these gems? Please tell!’
    இத்யார்ஷே வால்மீகீயே
    ஸ்ரீமத்ராமாயணே ஆதிகாவ்யே
    கிஷ்கிந்தாகாண்டே பஞ்சாஸஸ்ஸர்க: ॥
    ityārṣē vālmīkīyē
    ṡrīmadrāmāyaṇē ādikāvyē
    kiṣkindhākāṇḍē pańcāṡassargaḥ ॥
    Thus concludes the fiftieth Sarga
    in Kishkindhā Kāṇḍa of the glorious Rāmāyaṇa,
    the first ever poem of humankind,
    composed by Maharshi Vālmeeki.
