Lord Murugan has six temples which are known as Arupadaiveedu. Thiruparamkunram is one among these six temples.

What are the significant aspects of Thiruparamkunram?

It is a cave temple, made out of a rock.

The Rajagopuram at the entrance of the temple is 150 feet high. It has 7 tiered structures.

The temple was built in the 8th Century by the king Maravarman Sundara Pandian.

In Thiruparamkunram temple, Lord Murugan married Devaiyanai, daughter of Indra after He defeated Surapadman. Indra gave his daughter to Murugan as a token of gratitude for restoring his kingdom from Surapadman by destroying the demon.

Let us worship Lord Murugan on Karthigai with a knowledge of His temples.
