mahānti balavanti ca ।
kathańcitsāṃparāyē tvām
jayēyuḥ kapisattama ॥
Then those terrible and mighty strong Rākshasas
will somehow manage to defeat you, O best of Vānaras!

but that would put a dent on the
glory of Rāghava, with Rākshasas killed by you.

Both of them, giving up their hopes of recovering me,
will get burnt down with grief and sorrow,
and might give up their lives
along with all the bears and Vānaras.

having protection from none and
having completely lost control over myself?

iha hattvā sabāndhavam ।
māmitō gṛhya gacchēta
tattasya sadṛṡaṃ bhavēt ॥
It would be befitting of him,
if Rāma kills the Ten-necked
along with his kith and kin,
and takes me away from here.
Even at the risk of her being killed in two months, she wants the episode to close in a manner that saves the stature, dignity and reputation of Rāma!
That indeed is truly becoming of a royal woman!

bhavanti rāmēṇa samā hi saṃyugē ॥
I have heard, as well as seen directly,
the prowess of that Mahātma
who stamps out the foe in battle;
neither the Dēvas, nor Gandharvas,
nor serpents, nor Rākshasas
can stand up to Rāma in a fight.

Who can stand up to the mighty strong
Rāghava holding his amazing bow,
his prowess equaling that of Indra,
that too aided by Lakshmaṇa,
blazing like fire abetted by strong winds?

sahēta kō vānaramukhya saṃyugē
yugāntasūryapratimaṃ ṡarārciṣam ॥
O chief of Vānaras! Who can stand up to
Rāghava who stands majestic, like the
elephant of the cardinal points in rut,
blazing like the sun at the time of Dissolution,
with his arrows for the rays,
crushing (the enemy) in the battlefield!

குருஷ்வ மாம் வாநரமுக்ய ஹர்ஷிதாம் ॥
sa mē hariṡrēṣṭha salakṣmaṇaṃ patiṃ
sayūthapaṃ kṣipramihōpapādaya ।
cirāya rāmaṃ prati ṡōkakarṡitāṃ
kuruṣva māṃ vānaramukhya harṣitām ॥
Hence, O best of Vānaras! See to it that
my husband, Lakshmaṇa and the great army chiefs
are here as soon as possible!
O chief of Vānaras! Make me, who is worn out
with grief for long, yearning for Rāma, happy!
இத்யார்ஷே வால்மீகீயே
ஸ்ரீமத்ராமாயணே ஆதிகாவ்யே
ஸுந்தரகாண்டே ஸப்தத்ரிம்ஸஸ்ஸர்க:॥
