Sundara Kaanda - Sarga 44
In this Sarga, Jambumāli attacks Hanuman and a fight ensues between them, with Jambumāli striking Hanumān with arrows and Hanumān hurling boulders, trees and Parigha at him. Hit by a Parigha, Jambumāli gets killed and his body and ornaments get reduced to a powder, with no trace of his head, chariot or horses left. Rāvaṇa, finding it difficult to accept the death of Jambumāli and the Kiṅkaras before him, orders the sons of his ministers to fight Hanumān.

Ordered by the Rākshasa King,
the strong Jambumāli, son of Prahasta,
of huge fangs and big bulging eyes,
clad in reddish garment, wearing red flowers,
garlands and bright ear-pendants,
armed with a bow comparable to that of Ṡakra
and to Vajra and thunderbolt,
and with the bright arrows that went along with it,
marched out, blazing and invincible in battle.

With the mighty strong son of Prahasta killed,
the lord of the night-rovers,
rolling his eyes in anger and resentment,
ordered out the sons of his ministers
of extreme valor and prowess (to fight Hanumān).

ந பாஹூ ந ச ஜாநுநீ ।
ந தநுர்ந ரதோ நாஸ்வா:
தத்ராத்ருஸ்யந்த நேஷவ: ॥
tasya caiva ṡirō nāsti
na bāhū na ca jānunī ।
na dhanurna rathō nāṡvāḥ
tatrādṛṡyanta nēṣavaḥ ॥
His head was no more.
Neither his arms, nor his knees,
nor the bow or the chariot or the horses
nor his arrows could be seen there anymore.

papāta nihatō bhūmau
cūrṇitāṅgavibhūṣaṇaḥ ॥
The mighty strong Jambumāli, killed,
fell down immediately on the ground
with his limbs and ornaments reduced to a powder.

and the mighty strong Kiṅkaras
Rāvaṇa became outraged,
his eyes turning red in anger.

ப்ரஹஸ்தபுத்த்ரே நிஹதே மஹாபலே ।

ஸமாதிதேஸாஸு நிஸாசரேஸ்வர: ॥
sa rōṣasaṃvartitatāmralōcanaḥ
prahastaputtrē nihatē mahābalē ।
amātyaputtrānativīryavikramān
samādidēṡāṡu niṡācarēṡvaraḥ ॥
With the mighty strong son of Prahasta killed,
the lord of the night-rovers,
rolling his eyes in anger and resentment,
ordered out the sons of his ministers
of extreme valor and prowess (to fight Hanumān).
இத்யார்ஷே வால்மீகீயே
ஸ்ரீமத்ராமாயணே ஆதிகாவ்யே
ஸுந்தரகாண்டே சதுஸ்சத்வாரிம்ஸஸ்ஸர்க:॥
ityārṣē vālmīkīyē
ṡrīmadrāmāyaṇē ādikāvyē
sundarakāṇḍē catuṡcatvāriṃṡassargaḥ॥
