Why Questions are not responded here with answers from members?

I find it very strange that a few questions posted by me never got an answer although there are very capable members here who can answer any type of questions.
The same questions when posted in other sites get answers from the members probably they are also members here.
Why this is so?
When a question is posted, in yahoo answers, you get lot of answers from well knowledgeable members; same is the case with Tamil Brahmin site.
This is not voluntarily happening here and i am at a loss to find an answer for this.
