Mainda and Dwivida, bulls among Vānaras,
who had slain many a foe in their time,

severed at the waist by the sword;
and they died, bathed in blood,
gasping for breath and wailing.

like his namesake jack-fruit.
Dareemukha lies in a depression
in the ground, rent by Nārāca arrows.
The immensely powerful Kumuda lies,
silenced by the arrows.

Aṅgada was attacked by the Rākshasas
and was cut into pieces by many arrows.
He fell down spurting blood,
his shoulder-rings falling on the ground.

The bears climbed up the trees like monkeys do.

on the shores of the ocean,
on the mountains and in the forests.

Here is his head which they have brought in,
dripping in blood and covered with dust.

Rāghava from the battlefield.

Let the miserable woman get a
good look at her husband’s final fate!

that was celebrated in the three worlds
at Seetā and said to her:

which Prahasta brought after he had
killed that human in the night.

After Vidyujjihva and he threw
the head and the bow respectively on the ground,
Rāvaṇa said to the renowned daughter of
the king of Vidēha, ‘please be mine!’
