    Yuddha Kaanda Sargas 33

    Yuddha Kaanda - Sarga 33
In this Sarga, Saramā, one among the Rākshasis who guards Seetā, who is considerate and affectionate to Seetā, comforts her, telling that Rāma was not killed and that Rāvaṇa had played a trick on her, showing a fake head and fake bow. Saramā assures her that her sorrows are about to end and all the riches and comforts will be hers again. She tells her that Rāma had crossed the ocean and was camping on the southern shore along with the army, and that she had actually seen Rāma and Lakshmaṇa.
While she is comforting Seetā thus, both of them hear the clatter of Rāvaṇa’s army getting ready for the battle and filling the royal thoroughfares. Saramā assures Seetā that Rāma will kill those Rākshasa troops including Rāvaṇa, and that he will recover her. She assures her that, united, both she and Rāma will find the happiness they deserve.
