    Yuddha Kaanda Sargas 45

    Yuddha Kaanda - Sarga 45
In this Sarga, ten Vānara captains, ordered by Rāma, search for Indrajit, but in vain. Indrajit, staying invisible by virtue of his magical powers, inundates Rāma and Lakshmaṇa with his arrows, letting off triumphant shouts again and again.
Rāma and Lakshmaṇa, their bodies completely covered by arrows, bleed profusely and become so weak that they cannot even open their eyes. Rāma falls on the ground first, seeing which, a pall of gloom settles over Lakshmaṇa. All the Vānaras gather around Rāma and the Vānara chiefs like Hanumān feel extremely sad and distressed.
