    மஹா பெரியவா அருளிய சிவ மந்திரம்

    பொன்னம்பலம் திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்அருணாச்சலம்
    மஹாதேவ மகாலிங்க மத்தியார் சுனேசா!
    இதை ஆறு முறை சிவாலயத்தில் ஜபிக்க “ஓம் நமச்சிவாய” என்ற சிவ மந்திரத்தை 108 முறை சிவாலயத்தில் ஜபித்த பலன் கிடைக்கும்
    “Ponnambalam, Thiruchitrambalam, Arunachalam, Mahadeva, Mahalinga, Mathiyaar sunesa”
    ( This is a powerful mantra for Lord Shiva which is equivalent to saying 108 Om Nama Shivaya —By kanchi Sankaracharya)
    'ponnambalam, thiruchitrambalam, arunaachalam
    mahadeva, mahalinga madhyarjunase ||'

    'பொன்னம்பலம், திருச்சிற்றம்பலம், அருணாசலம்,
    மஹாதேவ, மஹாலிங்க மத்யார்ஜுனாஸே.'

    'ponnambalam' (temple with golden roof) is at Thillai (Chidambaram).

    Chitrambalam (hall of wisdom) is also at Thillai (Chidambaram).

    Lord Arunachala is at Thiruvannamalai.

    ('One can get the benefit of the above three places visits, by worshiping Lord Shiva at Tiruvidaimarudur, may be the meaning of the above verse.)
