Yuddha Kaanda - Sarga 84
In this Sarga, Vibheeshaṇa dismisses the possibility of someone killing Seetā, as she is zealously protected by Rāvaṇa. He tells Rāma and others that it is a trick played by Indrajit to the stop Vānaras from attacking him.
He tells Rāma that the immediate concern should be to kill Indrajit as he becomes invincible even to the Dēvas once he completes the Hōma at Nikumbhila. He asks Rāma to be at ease and to send Lakshmaṇa to interrupt the Hōma and eventually kill Indrajit.

While Lakshmaṇa, who loved his brother,
was thus consoling Rāma,
Vibheeshaṇa stationed the forces
in their respective camps, and came there
accompanied by his four counselors,
the valiant ones who looked like mounds of collyrium
and were armed with every kind of weapon,
like a lead elephant followed by its herd.

lying on the lap of Lakshmaṇa, dazed and bewildered.

Vibheeshaṇa, seeing that Rāma was burnt by grief
and was feeling ashamed of himself,
asked, 'What is the matter?',
keeping the sorrow and sadness over it to himself.

idaṃ bāṣpapariplutaḥ ॥
Looking at the face of Vibheeshaṇa,
and then glancing at Sugreeva and the Vānaras,
Lakshmaṇa, his face covered in tears,
said these words that were depressing:

Hearing the news brought by Hanumān
that Seetā has been slain by Indrajit,
Rāghava instantly fell in a swoon, my friend!

Interrupting Sowmitri before
he could complete his sentence,
Vibheeshaṇa said these words of import to
Rāma who had not yet regained his sense in full:

I am of the conviction that whatever was told
by Hanumān in a state of concern and helplessness
is as unlikely as oceans being dried up.

what exactly the evil-minded Rāvaṇa
thinks about Seetā; he cannot kill her.

'Please release Vaidēhee!',
with his own interest in mind,
he did not do that.

And it is impossible for anyone
even to get a glance of her by either
Sāma, or Dāna or Bhēda or even Daṇḍa.

The Rākshasa has just tricked
the Vānaras and gone way.
Know, O you of mighty arm, that
it is a phantom daughter of Janaka!

prāpya hōmaṃ kariṣyati ।
hutavānupayātō hi
dēvairapi savāsavaiḥ ।
durādharṣō bhavatyēva
saṅgrāmē rāvaṇātmajaḥ ॥
He has gone to a shrine by name
Nikumbhila to perform a Hōma.
Once the son of Rāvaṇa comes here
after completing the offerings,
he will become invincible in the battle
even for the Dēvas led by Vāsava.

vānarāṇāṃ parākramē ॥
He has confounded the Vānaras with his tricks
surely to divert them from going on the offense.

tyajēmaṃ naraṡārdūla
mithyāsantāpamāgatam ।
sīdatē hi balaṃ sarvam
dṛṣṭvā tvāṃ ṡōkakarṡitam ॥
Let us go there with the army
before he completes the rite.
Shake off this grief, O tiger among men,
that befell on you with no basis in reality.
The entire army has become downcast,
seeing you wilt with grief.

tiṣṭha sattvasamucchritaḥ ।

Please remain here, setting your mind at ease
and summoning courage to your aid.
Please send Lakshmaṇa with us, and
we will go taking the forces with us.

With his sharp arrows, this tiger among men
will make him give up the rite,
and then he can be killed.

His sharp arrows sped by the feathers of birds,
shall drink his blood like birds of prey.

lakṣmaṇaṃ ṡubhalakṣaṇam ।
rākṣasasya vināṡāya
vajraṃ vajradharō yathā ॥
Send Lakshmaṇa of auspicious marks,
O you of mighty arm, to destroy the Rākshasa
like the wielder of Vajra sends the Vajra.

manujavara na kālaviprakarṣō
ripunidhanaṃ prati yat kṣamō'dya kartum ।
tvamatisṛja ripōrvadhāya vāṇīm
divijaripōrmathanē yathā mahēndraḥ ॥
O best of men! There should be
no delay now in destroying this foe.
Please give the word of command
to slay the enemy, like Mahēndra
did for the destruction of the foes of Dēvas.

samāptakarmā hi sa rākṣasarṣabhō
bhavatyadṛṡyaḥ samarē surāsuraiḥ ।
yuyutsatā tēna samāptakarmaṇā
bhavētsurāṇāmapi saṃṡayō mahān ॥
Once the rite is completed, that bull among Rākshasas
becomes invisible in the fight even to Suras and Asuras.
Once he enters the fray after completing the rite,
it is doubtful whether even the Dēvas can destroy him.

மாயாமயீம் மஹாபாஹோ
தாம் வித்தி ஜநகாத்மஜாம் ॥
vānarān mōhayitvā tu
pratiyātaḥ sa rākṣasaḥ ।
māyāmayīṃ mahābāhō
tāṃ viddhi janakātmajām ॥
The Rākshasa has just tricked
the Vānaras and gone way.
Know, O you of mighty arm, that
it is a phantom daughter of Janaka!

caityaṃ nikumbhilāṃ nāma
prāpya hōmaṃ kariṣyati ।
hutavānupayātō hi
dēvairapi savāsavaiḥ ।
durādharṣō bhavatyēva
saṅgrāmē rāvaṇātmajaḥ ॥
He has gone to a shrine by name
Nikumbhila to perform a Hōma.
Once the son of Rāvaṇa comes here
after completing the offerings,
he will become invincible in the battle
even for the Dēvas led by Vāsava.

vighnamanvicchatā tatra
vānarāṇāṃ parākramē ॥
He has confounded the Vānaras with his tricks
surely to divert them from going on the offense.

த்ருஷ்ட்வா த்வாம் ஸோககர்ஸிதம் ॥
sasainyāstatra gacchāmō
yāvattanna samāpyatē ।
tyajēmaṃ naraṡārdūla
mithyāsantāpamāgatam ।
sīdatē hi balaṃ sarvam
dṛṣṭvā tvāṃ ṡōkakarṡitam ॥
Let us go there with the army
before he completes the rite.
Shake off this grief, O tiger among men,
that befell on you with no basis in reality.
The entire army has become downcast,
seeing you wilt with grief.

iha tvaṃ svasthahṛdayaḥ
tiṣṭha sattvasamucchritaḥ ।
lakṣmaṇaṃ prēṣayāsmābhiḥ
saha sainyānukarṣibhiḥ ॥
Please remain here, setting your mind at ease
and summoning courage to your aid.
Please send Lakshmaṇa with us, and
we will go taking the forces with us.

ராவணிம் நிஸிதை: ஸரை: ।

rāvaṇiṃ niṡitaiḥ ṡaraiḥ ।
tyājayiṣyati tat karma
tatō vadhyō bhaviṣyati ॥
With his sharp arrows, this tiger among men
will make him give up the rite,
and then he can be killed.

பத்ரிபத்ராங்கவாஜிந: ।

tasyaitē niṡitāstīkṣṇāḥ
patripatrāṅgavājinaḥ ।
patatriṇa ivāsaumyāḥ
ṡarāḥ pāsyanti ṡōṇitam ॥
His sharp arrows sped by the feathers of birds,
shall drink his blood like birds of prey.

லக்ஷ்மணம் ஸுபலக்ஷணம் ।
ராக்ஷஸஸ்ய விநாஸாய

taṃ sandiṡa mahābāhō
lakṣmaṇaṃ ṡubhalakṣaṇam ।
rākṣasasya vināṡāya
vajraṃ vajradharō yathā ॥
Send Lakshmaṇa of auspicious marks,
O you of mighty arm, to destroy the Rākshasa
like the wielder of Vajra sends the Vajra.

6.84.22 ஈ மநுஜவர ந காலவிப்ரகர்ஷோ
ரிபுநிதநம் ப்ரதி யத் க்ஷமோऽத்ய கர்தும் ।

திவிஜரிபோர்மதநே யதா மஹேந்த்ர: ॥
manujavara na kālaviprakarṣō
ripunidhanaṃ prati yat kṣamō'dya kartum ।
tvamatisṛja ripōrvadhāya vāṇīm
divijaripōrmathanē yathā mahēndraḥ ॥
O best of men! There should be
no delay now in destroying this foe.
Please give the word of command
to slay the enemy, like Mahēndra
did for the destruction of the foes of Dēvas.

பவத்யத்ருஸ்ய: ஸமரே ஸுராஸுரை: ।
யுயுத்ஸதா தேந ஸமாப்தகர்மணா
பவேத்ஸுராணாமபி ஸம்ஸயோ மஹாந் ॥
samāptakarmā hi sa rākṣasarṣabhō
bhavatyadṛṡyaḥ samarē surāsuraiḥ ।
yuyutsatā tēna samāptakarmaṇā
bhavētsurāṇāmapi saṃṡayō mahān ॥
Once the rite is completed, that bull among Rākshasas
becomes invisible in the fight even to Suras and Asuras.
Once he enters the fray after completing the rite,
it is doubtful whether even the Dēvas can destroy him.
இத்யார்ஷே வால்மீகீயே
ஸ்ரீமத்ராமாயணே ஆதிகாவ்யே
யுத்தகாண்டே சதுரஸீதிதம: ஸர்க:॥
ityārṣē vālmīkīyē
ṡrīmadrāmāyaṇē ādikāvyē
yuddhakāṇḍē caturaṡītitamaḥ sargaḥ॥
