Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa
Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa proceeded on path of self realization
through the path of Bhakti Yoga. Even after realization he did not
abandon worshiping Kali as masses in general would not comprehend
what he was doing!
Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa did not really idolize worshiping a
particular form of goddess. He imagined every goddess as
representing mother earth. Mother Earth is to be worshiped as it
was this mother who took the burden of all souls atmans
manifesting and purifying themselves.
Even after god realization I always bow before almighty mother, the
Mother Earth... if there had not been mother earth then we would
have not been here. Prayers have a very important role to play
in self-realization. This is the only medium by which we come
nearer God.
You need the power of absolute faith to understand the significance
of self-realization. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa realized God in his
life time... but not his beloved follower Swami Vivekananda revered
by millions all over globe. Swami Vivekananda was more into
community service than self enlightenment!
