Lord loves Simplicity
Once Lord Krishna came to Satyabhama and Rukmani and said he was hungry. Satyabhama asked Krishna to wait for some time, went inside and fetched Krishna with different kinds of fruits in a golden plate. But Rukmani out of love and simplicity rushed inside and immediately brought handful of Jamuns (berries) in her palms and offered it to Krishna. Krishna loved her simplicity and immediate response to happily accept those berries.
So whenever you offer any food to any Deity, offer it with Love any Fruits even using your hand, it will be accepted.
