    AAPTHIGAM

    My father expired on 20 sep 2012,can someone help me giving the dates for Oonum AApthikam,Aapthikam and Shubam.
    Need Correct dates.

    You have not given the Time of death to find out the exact thithi.

    Oonams are having some conditions hence exact dates can not be given, go through below and you can fix the dates yourself.
    Get Oona maasikam and Oona aapthikam durations
    Select the date of death and click Get Dates
    The date you have selected is : 20-9-2012
    General Conditions : If possible avoid eldest kartha's jenma star, then Tuesday - Saturday - Friday (in this order)
    27th Oonam : 17-10-2012

    We have given 28th day, it can be performed either on 28th or on 29th day.
    It can be performed on 30th day if thithi maasikam does not occur.
    45th Oonam : 30-10-2012

    We have given 41st day, it can be performed on any one day from 41st to 45th day.
    6th month Oonam : 09-03-2013

    We have given 171st day, it can be performed on any one day from 171st to 180th day.
    Oona aapthikam : 26-08-2013

    We have given 341st day, it can be performed on any one day from 341st to 355th day.
    General conditions are applicable for all the four oonams.

    You can do it yourself by clicking "Extra" Menun at Top of every page and click the "Calcualte Oonams" sub menu
    There you will find Shradha Thithis also.

      First Iam very thankful for your reply.
      Yes I did see this tool,a very useful tool.But I could not get the dates for the aapthikam and Shubam
      My Father Expired on 20 Sep 2012 at 5:45 AM
      As per vadhiyar it was in Portasee Month and Panchami thithi.
      Hope with this you can help me find.
      My Star is Sadham and Kumbha rasi,Koundanya gothram.DOB-29-11-1976

        Thithi is: Purattasi - Sukla Panchami.
        Masikam Dates:
        Oct-19, Nov-18, Dece-17, Jan-16, Feb-14, Mar-16
        Apr-15, May-15 (Athika Masikam), June-13, July-13, Aug-11, Sep-10

        October - 08 - Sodakumbam
        October - 09 Varusha Apthikam

        Decide the Oona Apthikam Date with your Vadhyar.

            Sir,

            Really sorry to continue the thread,having one more final question,
            I am having a doubt on the Varusha Apthikam date (yourself and my vadhiyar gave Sep 10,2013 ),but my periyappa
            is saying that as my father died in             Purattasi - Panchami, so it should be performed on OCTOBER (Puratasi) 10,2013 only.
            I saw our Srirangam panchagam it has Sep 10 as Panchami.
            Also Oct 10 also is panchami.
            My Question-Is the Aapthigam have a requirement to be done on the same month,thithi? If not whats our usual practice.
            I am really thankful for your time and reply.

              The same month, same paksham and same thithi should be used to do the Apthikam and shradhams on following years.

              Your periyappa is correct,
              it should be done on September 9th which is Purattasi Sukla Panchami.
              I found the Purattasi Sukla Panchami is 9th October Wednesday.

                Bit confused by your reply - Should I have Aapthikam on Sep 9 or OCT 10 ?

                You have mentioned both days as Purattasi-
                "it should be done on September 9th which is Purattasi Sukla Panchami.?
                I found the                 Purattasi Sukla Panchami is 9th October Wednesday."
