    Madhura Gitavani" N.C.Vasanthakokilam. (1919-1951)

    She lived for just 32 years. Within that young age she reached to excellence in carnatic music and considered one among the female triumvirate of Carnatic Music at that time with M S Subbulakshmi and D K Pattammal. She enchanted the music lovers with her high octave silken voice which she could control with effortless ease. NCV brought the songs of Yogi Suddhananda Bharati to the music lovers. She sang quite a number of Tamil songs in her concerts . She was a regular in the the annual conerts of Tamil Isai Sangam and Indian Fine Arts Society. She had also acted in a few (seven or eight)movie, including famous "Haridas" with MK Tyagaraja Bagavathar.
