    Anjaneya is a very popular Hindu god among the rural as well as among the urban people. Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple is one of the important Hanuman temples of Bangalore. The Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple is located Jayanagar 9th Block, Bangalore.

    The Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple was constructed in 1969 and it was registered in the year 1972. The temple complex is spread around 5 acres of land.

    The Ragigudda Sri Prasanna Anjaneyaswamy Temple located on the hilltop is the main attraction in the temple premises. You can also see other temples in the temple premises. Lord Sri Seetha Rama Swamy, Sri Ganesha, Bhagavathi, Sri Rajarajeshwari and Navagrahas with individual uniqueness are other shrines in the temple premises.

    Legend:

    The history behind the name of this ancient temple is very interesting in the same way as wonders of Hanuman. As per the legend, there was a huge heap of Ragi (a food grain) turned into a rock, therefore the name "Ragigudda". When this incident happened, The Thrimurthies, Lord Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva visited the spot, wanted to reside here permanently modifying themselves into three huge stones pillars. Their existence at Ragigudda stands like a witness to the complete developments up to now, as well as for the upcoming developments.

    Places to see at Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple:

    Parna Kuteera: This is a place which resemble hermitage. Yaga, homa, havanas and special poojas are done here. You can also see small artificially created water fall here.

    Trimurthy Sannidhi: Beautifully carved out Trimurthies on 32 feet tall monolithic blocks is another major attraction of Ragigudda temple. Visitors of Ragigudda will have such a rare darshan of Trimurthies in one platform.

    Auditorium: Beautifully designed, carefully maintained for the purpose of several cultural activities.

    Pushkarni: A tank that provides water for complete temple necessities.

    Prasada division: Daily morning and evening, Prasada is served to all the devotees and on every Saturday devotees are served with lunch. Well maintained with regard to cleanliness and taste.

    Open auditorium: This is an open place where normally Hanumajjayanthi is performed. This auditorium can house a large number of devotees.

    Fairs and Festivals at Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple:

    Hanumajjayanthi is celebrated for 12 days with great devotion. Special Poojas, Abhisheka, Homas are done for these 12 days. Hanumajjayanthi attracts thousands of devotees on these 12 days, it also attract around 35000 devotees on the final day. Mahaprasada is served to all the devotees on all the 12 days.

    Timings of Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple: 08:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 05:00 PM to 08:30 PM

    Pooja Timings: Sunday to Fri day - 11 AM and Saturday at 11:30 AM. Evening poojas will be done around 08:00 PM to 08:30 PM
