    Dhanam on Shraddam day

    Dear Sir,

    Namaskaram. In our family there is no practice of Vasthra dhanam ( Veshti ) on Shraddham's day. Can I start it? If I start it now, is it necessary to continue or can be done occasionally. Please clarify. vramanathan.

    Sri:
    Vasthram given to the Bokthas of a Shradham is not a dhanam,
    it comes under one of Upacharam out of 16.
    It can be done whenever possible.
    There should not be any interference of Sampradayam.
