if a person is dead but his caste is not known and we know only that he is a hindu, is it enough that we perform only the cremation alone in a proper way?

Greetings to you sir. It has been said in shastras that a person is dead and if nobody is there to perform antima kainkaryam for them we should perform funeral for him if he is our same varna. My question is as follows:
A) if a person is dead but his caste is not known and we know only that he is a hindu, is it enough that we perform only the cremation alone in a proper way?
B) if his caste is known and incase if he is aand we belong to that caste should we perform only upto the 11thday rituals and narayana bali or perform his masikas also?
