Swamin,
One of my friend is in his Matru DEEKSHA. One year is going to be completed and after aabdeekam he has to do deeksha Visarjanam.
Now the question is that his wife is in the family way and hence he has to start Garbaa Deekshaa after deeksha visarjanam or he has to continue the existing deeksha?

This is pathetic!
To avoid such situations dharma shastram is compelling karthas to avoid "dhApathyam" when he is in deekshai.
It will be applicable for all type of deekshais.

He should personally go and ask his Acharyan or any shastra learned swamin
to suggest suitable parihAram.
