  • Slokas for children

With the invasion of the media(various) and the internet access to even small children and the so called talent search programs like super singers etc, our culture is threatened of extinction by the idiot box..
Gone were the days when in united Hindu families, there were grand parents and uncles and aunts to tell children stories from our puranas and slokas for daily recital.
With a view to making at least a few kids to learn some small slokas,I am posting some slokas here, .They are from the website spirituaindia.org who are doing a good job of preserving our traditions.
lMay be there will be further postings of articles/anecdotes with similar view.
    Hope the children enjoy.
    sincerely,
    varadarajan

Circulated in the interests of our children so that they learn a few easy to recite slokas

      Re: Slokas for children

Thank you very much for the wonderful slokas Mr Varadharajan. This will go a longway in building up a mentally strong brahmin children and face the life full of challenges specially in the era of caste based reservations. Incidentally I am a victim of this injustice done to the brahmin community. I haunts me day in and day out.

Thanks for your kind words of sppreciation.Yes, the so called reservations have killed the aspirations of many talented persons and tbey have left our shores to excel abroad.I too suffered due to it and the other problem of being a ,.."Sala Madrasi" up north.Denied my dues for many times till I could achieve it finally.
