matsya kurma varaha nrusimha vamana parasurama rama balarama krishna kalki. kalkhi avatar.

The first four incarnations of Vishnu appeared in Satya or Krita Yuga, the first of the four Yugas, also called 'The Golden Age'. The next three appeared in Treta Yuga, the eighth and ninth in Dwapara Yuga and the tenth will appear in Kali Yuga. The time till completion for Kali Yuga is in 427,000 years. In the Vishnu Purana and the Bhagavata Purana, the Kali-yuga is described as ending with the appearance of Kalki, who will defeat the wicked, liberate the virtuous, and initiate a new Satya or Krita Yuga.

Re: Dasa Avatara of Sri Mahavishnu

in the twelfth Sloka of Sri dasavathara Sthothram , svāmi deśikan summarizes all the ten incarnations in one Sloka.
So I am including this Sloka and its meaning briefly.

Oh Lord! Those who speak your name daily as the One who took the form of a

    1. fish by your own free will,

    2. incarnated as a tortoise for the purposes of having fun,

    3. took the form of a big boar,

    4. appeared as Lord nṛsimha when no one (including you) expected it,

    5. took the incarnation of vāmana just for protecting everyone (through the contact with your feet),

    6. presented yourself as the angry paraśurāma and

    7. also as rāma - the personification of kindness and mercy,

    8. had the sport with the plough in the balarāma avatāra and

    9. as the cowherd in your kṛshṇa incarnation,

    10. and will ride the white horse in your kalki incarnation,

make this world pure by the store-house of puṇya that they have accumulated, and are like the store where we can get all the puṇya we need (i.e., by merely associating with them).

SrI deśika again gives vent to his poetic sentiments in describing these noble souls as shop-keepers from whom we can get all the puṇya that we want by associating with them.

In the concluding Sloka, Sri deśika points out that even the desire to chant this stotram will lead to sarasvati-katāksham, in addition to the spiritual development, purity of thought, and all kinds fame.
